TORI DELANEY

I do a lot of things.
I'm an actor. Comedian. Writer. Doodle cartoonist. Basic musician. SPED, art, & stem primary teacher. Budding baby documentarian. I've produced live events, and hosted. I own and operate an entertainment business called delaneyfacepaints.
A friend once described me as the sweetest, funniest person they knew that was also a ray a sunshine but could also kick your a**. I'm going to trade mark that and put it somewhere, I don't know the place yet.
I'm from the south suburbs of Chicago, and it's very important to who I am. One may call it the arm pit of America, but I call it the knuckles of Illinois. You can either get a good fist bump or a fist punch. It's a beautiful melting pot of diversity and everyone's got broad shoulders. I do when I wear shoulder pads. It's made me the scrappy and accomodating person I am today.
I'm interested in stories of the underrepresented, underprivileged, and underfunded. I love whimsy, I love surrealism. I love finding the absurd in the darknesss. Most of my comics shed light on this. (page to be made soon)

Comedy found me in 2023, so I started taking clown, musical improv, and traditional improv courses at the Annoyance Theatre in an effort to face fears. I ended up being pretty natural at it. I currently perform at the Second City on Wheel of Improv, and with Escapades at the Annoyance.

I'm interested in writing more of my own comedy, and will be devoting the next few years to making that voice louder and more clear. I have plans to start a production company.

I've gone viral making sketches as a cicada on the internet - I have an interest in personifying nonconscious things and making people feel for them. I was sad about how mean people were to them. We're all connected after all (and toy story really messed me up).
I hope my silly, heartfelt comedy can make fun of social norms and inspire people to care for one another more.
